Droogfontein Solar Power provided funds to the Droogfontein Community Property Association in support of two selected projects, namely a feasibility study for the establishment of a chicken farming venture on the farm; and the start-up cost for the running of a Canteen by a group of six CPA women who currently own their own enterprises in the catering sector.
In addition to this, a business plan for the business was drafted by a service provider called Traction.
Further funding was provided in support of the DCPA to implement financial administration costs which include systems that will allow them to manage their financial affairs on the farm, accounting systems and a system for payment of beneficiary dividends when necessary.
